Can I host worlds with mods?

Yes, you can host worlds with mods. Members have to join with the exact same mods installed. You and your friends both need to add the same mods to your mods folder.

Can the host be offline?

The host needs to be online because they act as the server. If they’re offline, there’s nowhere for the other players to connect to.
